The Race for the Cure®

One in eight women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime.
I am committed to this cause in loving memory of my sister that lost her fight against breast cancer in 1999 at just 36 years old leaving behind two young children, a husband and two sisters. My cousin whom is 45 is surviving cancer for the 5th year and whose courage and strength are a constant inspiration.
They are both always in our thoughts and hearts reminding is that each day we have with our loved ones is a precious gift.
For these two inspiration women and for each of you that has a mom, daughter, sister, grandmother, wife or friend that is facing this challenge with courage and bravery, please support our efforts and make a pledge to donate to our team. We will be walking in honor of these heroic women.

The Komen Southern Nevada Race for the Cure® raises money to fund education, screening and treatment programs for these women and thousands of others in our own community and supports the national search for a cure.
The Komen Race for the Cure® Series is the largest series of 5K run/ walks in the world. Since its origination in Dallas in 1983, the Komen Race for the Cure® Series has grown from one local race with 800 participants to an international series of 117 races with more than 1.3 million participants.
